A referral to an NHF-funded sanatorium can be issued by a General Practitioner or a specialist, according to the indications and contraindications for sanatorium treatment. It is issued in electronic form and by this mean is submitted to the NHF.

The referral’s status can be checked in the referral browser by providing the referral number and the patient’s date of birth at https://skierowania.nfz.gov.pl or in the Online Patient Account.
